TripCompy is a Telegram Mini App developed and independently operated by its creator. This privacy notice explains what data TripCompy processes and why.
1. What we collect
- Telegram profile data: your Telegram user ID, your display name (first and last name as configured in Telegram) and your language preference, obtained when you open TripCompy through Telegram. We never receive your Telegram password.
- Trip data you create: trip names, destinations, dates, packing lists, document checklist states (status only — never document numbers or photos), tasks, budget amounts, expenses and reminders.
- Technical data: session identifiers for signing you in. Basic product events (e.g. "app opened", "trip created") are developed but NOT yet deployed; if enabled in the future, they will be used for aggregated product analytics only.
2. What we do NOT collect
- Passport numbers, ID numbers or photos of documents (only checklist status).
- Payment card data.
- Your contacts or precise location (beyond what you type into a trip).
3. Why we process data
- To provide the service: create and manage trips, sync across your devices, and deliver reminders to your Telegram.
- (In the future, if analytics is enabled) to improve the product through aggregated analytics, without personal profiling.
4. Where data is stored
- On your device: TripCompy works offline-first and keeps a local copy of your trips in your device's local storage.
- On our dedicated server (MariaDB database) for syncing across your devices and delivering reminders.
- Reminders are delivered through Telegram's own infrastructure.
5. How syncing works
When you use TripCompy, changes you make on one device are synchronized to our server and then to your other devices. Synchronization is protected by a session token issued after Telegram authenticates you, and only your own data is served back to you.
6. Reminders
Reminders you schedule are stored on our server. Our reminder service sends the notification text to your Telegram chat at the scheduled time. Telegram may delay or fail to deliver a message; delivery is not guaranteed.
7. Data retention and deletion
- Trips and trip content: you can delete trips from the app; deletions are propagated to our server. Other items (packing, documents, tasks, expenses, reminders) can be deleted individually from the app.
- Retention: your data is kept while your account is active.
- Account deletion: to delete your account, email support at support@tripcompy.com. The operator verifies that you are the owner of the Telegram account (through the bot chat) before deleting, then cancels pending reminders and deletes your account and its data from the server. You will receive a confirmation by email once the deletion is completed. The "Delete my account" button inside the app will be developed later; during this period account deletion is manual, by email.
- Offline devices: after deletion, offline devices can no longer re-create your data on our servers; a local copy on the device may remain until you remove the app or the chat.
- Backups: existing SQL backups may temporarily retain data that was deleted from the service. There is no automatic deletion of backups; they are managed manually by the operator. We do not guarantee that deleting an account immediately removes all of its backup copies.
8. Data sharing
We do not sell your data. We share data only with:
- Telegram: to operate the Mini App, authenticate you and deliver messages.
- Our hosting provider: server infrastructure where the app and database run.
9. Your rights and support
You can contact support at support@tripcompy.com to request access, correction or deletion of your personal data. We respond to data and deletion requests within 10 business days, and confirm by email once an account deletion is completed. Backup copies may take longer to be fully removed.
